Welcome Dreamers! Im Billie. I've been a hairdresser since 2010 and have had a passion for balayage and painting hair since the very beginning. I received my Master Balayage Artist Certification through L'Oreal Professionnel in 2014. My absolute favorite thing as an artist is to create believable "natural and organic" color for my guests. Your hair is my canvas! ​

I co-founded my salon, The Hair Collective in 2020 to create an inclusive, uplifting space where local hair artists could learn and grow their businesses, where clients could feel taken care of, and where artists and artisans from the Madison community could showcase their work. The idea is that The Hair Collective is more than just a business. It’s a place where everyone is accepted, celebrated, and leaves feeling elevated in some way.

When we begin working together, I start by finding out who you are as a unique human being. I pay close attention to detail to create the perfect customized color for you that will meet your goals, as well as a plan for our continued journey together. I believe in minimalism and sustainability, so I want your hair to be a long-lasting accessory, not a necessity!

When I'm not at The Hair Collective you can find me looking for my next escape into nature. I think it’s so important for us to turn off the noise of everyday life and get to somewhere where there is no WiFi, but a much better connection. Connection to the earth, to the ones we love, and to what inspires us. I love to camp and hike and enjoy all that our beautiful city of Madison has to offer.
